RightFax v10 introduces a revised SMTP Gateway to meet the needs of off-premise email solutions, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Exchange Online, and Google Apps as well as TLS and HTTPS SMTP servers. The new RightFax SMTP Gateway allows customers to send documents securely from their email system to their RightFax server (leveraging existing email system) while maintaining data privacy and security providing:

Microsoft Outlook 2007 and 2010 clients use simple fax addressing forms provided by the RightFax Outlook Add-In when connected to Microsoft Office 365 domains. An email is sent to a mailbox on the Microsoft Office 365 domain. The RightFax SMTP Gateway monitors the mailbox on Office 365 mail servers for outbound emails through a direct, secured POP3 connection (TLS/SSL), converts them to faxes, and sends them to their final fax destination. Inbound faxes and notifications for inbound/outbound faxes are routed over direct, secured SMTP connection (TLS/SSL) to Office 365 users via the email address configured for their user account on the RightFax server.
